Bright was founded in 2024 by Fredrik Magnusson and Gustaf Strauss while they were studying together at Lund University. Like many students, they found course materials to be ridiculously expensive, and carrying around heavy textbooks every day was a real hassle. They started thinking: what if all your books were available as e-books instead? That way, you could study anywhere, anytime, without worrying about leaving a book behind. And that’s when the idea for Bright was born.

Today, Bright offers much more than just a platform for e-books. Here, you can buy and read books, download past exams, and even upload your own study documents. Plus, Bright AI is an integrated AI chat that helps with everything from understanding tricky concepts to getting quick answers to your questions. The mission is to make your study time more convenient and effective, so you can focus on what really matters—acing your exams.
